This page lists firms that provide state and local tax policy services (such as representation before state and local legislative bodies, testimony before executive and legislative hearings and ruling requests before state regulatory agencies) as demonstrated through either dedicated state capitol presence; published state tax policy analysis, newsletters or articles; or demonstrated state tax policy clients! Firms are listed both by alphabet and by state where the firm maintains state tax policy consultants ... not by state expertise, policy expertise or registration as a lobbyist!
Listings can be located by clicking on the button in
the index of the first letter of the firm name
for
Holland+Knight or the
state where the firm maintains an office
for
Texas.
Listings can be toggled between alphabetical
and state
listings by clicking on buttons in the two sections of the index.
If firms have been added to the database a
screen tip will display with a message such as "Policy Firms - B" or "Policy
Firms - Illinois".
Links in the index will be
underlined (in dark blue) as a text
link or will be marked marked
with either a pagelink icon
or a weblink icon
.
Clicking an underlined text link
will usually display the information requested on the same page,
clicking on the pagelink icon will open a page in this web site with
additional information, and clicking on the weblink icon will link to
the world wide web (www) in a new page.
In addition, firms and individuals may be marked with an email icon
,
a bio icon
and/or a
documents
icon in Microsoft format
or Adobe
format
. Clicking
on the email icon should generate an email to the designated person/firm
and clicking on the bio or documents icons will link to respective information.

It
is not all inclusive ... the firms listed are
for design and illustration purposes. Additional firms will be
added as this site develops. If you would like to have your firm

Maneuvering around any new web site can be difficult until oriented to the
mapping of the site and how to retrieve information. saltref may be particularly awkward
to new users as saltref often uses inline frames (iframes) to present
information requested. Using iframes allows the user to retrieve
new information on the same page, without having to reload a whole page!
This convenience may require some extra scrolling at times.
Wherever possible "go to" links have been embedded to help the user jump to locations
within a document or the web site without having to scroll through long lists of
information. Some helpful links to look for are:
